What is the trip about

This North India Group Tour is a cultural, historical and architectural extravaganza combining the classical sights of the Golden Triangle and Gangetic Plains with the best of Rajasthan. This is a tour full of variety, and is ideal for anyone wanting a complete North Indian experience.

[Day 1 : Arrival in Delhi]
Upon arrival in Delhi, one of our tour guides will be there at airport for further journey. Overnight stay at hotel.

[Day 2 : Delhi]
After doing the morning breakfast, we would go on Delhi tour that would include places like Red Fort, The Jama Masjid , India`s largest mosque, Rajghat – memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandni Chowk. In the noon, the second leg of Delhi sightseeing would cover Humayun`s Tomb, Qutab Minar , India gate and imperial Delhi . Overnight stay at hotel.

[Day 3 : Delhi – Jaipur]
Morning drive to Jaipur via road en route covering Samode. Overnight stay at hotel.

[Day 4 : Jaipur]
In the morning, a visit to the magnificent Amber Fort, located in the outskirts of the Jaipur city. Here you can also choose to enjoy the fabulous Elephant ride to reach the main gate of the Fort. The Fort was built in the early 18th century and depicts the legacy of rich lifestyle of Jaipur kingdom. In the afternoon, the places to be covered include City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and open-air Jantar Mantar Observatory. In evening, a stroll through the lively market before approaching to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

[Day 5 : Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra]
An early morning drive to Agra after breakfast en route visit Fatehpur Sikri . Fatehpur Sikri was built by Akbar as his capital , was lived in for only a very few years. A spectacular architectural city built of Red sandstone. Evening arrival in Agra. Overnight stay at hotel.

[Day 6 : Agra]
In the morning, head for half day sightseeing of Agra. Agra is known for the world famous Taj Mahal and the Red Fort . The Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan built the extravagant Taj Mahal as a mausoleum for his most beloved wife and was imprisoned in the Red Fort overlooking the Taj by his son until death. Overnight stay at hotel.

[Day 7 : Agra – Jhansi – Orchha]
In morning after breakfast, train travel to Jhansi on Shatabdi Express. On arrival transfer to hotel in Orchha . Afternoon tour of Orchha – a walk through to the century old temples and forts, each with its own poignant history, and rest amidst the beauty of the ruins. Overnight stay at Hotel.

[Day 8 : Orchha – Khajuraho]
Morning travel to Khajuraho (170 kms), afternoon sightseeing in Khajuraho.

Afternoon visit the most fascinating western group of temples. The temples of Khajuraho have been declared a ‘world heritage’ site by UNESCO in order to preserve the rich legacy of architecture, bequeathed to future generations by the Kings of the Chandela dynasty. These temples are famous for their intricate sculptures and erotic carvings that are one of the outstanding achievements of Indian art. Overnight stay at Hotel.

[Day 9 : Khajuraho – Varanasi]
Morning flight transfer to Varanasi, on arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath (9 kms), an important pilgrimage center for Buddhist. This is where the Buddha preached his first sermon after getting enlightenment. The city is famous for its magnificent stupas, monasteries and temples. Overnight stay at Hotel.

[Day 10 : Varanasi – Delhi]
This morning an early start for a dawn boat ride on the Ganges River. Ritual is a very important aspect of Hinduism and there is no better place to observe it than at the Ganges. You will view the thread ceremony, head shaving and food being offered to the departing souls. Also along its bank watch devotees bathing, cremating their dead. A walk through narrow twisting lanes will give you a chance to witness the various rituals of the pilgrims in the city. Afternoon flight to Delhi. Overnight stay at hotel.

[Day 11 : Delhi-Abroad]
Early Morning transfer to airport for your onward flight.
